Rocky Mountain Youth Corps working in Pilar and Embudo June 22, 2011

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps were working in Pilar area today creating trails for fishing access to the Rio Grande. The new trails are located at Quartzite put in and the next pull out south on highway 68. The youth are working to fortify steps and to make the steep banks more navigable by fisherman seeking to access quiet spots along the rio. We thank them for their hard work!
The Corps stopped in at the Pilar Yacht Club (575-768-9072) for a breakfast of breakfast burritos and later were invited to come by for free ice cream cones after their hard days work.
