Pilar Yacht Club's Totally Tubular Back to School River Float
Pilar Yacht Club is sponsoring a river float to celebrate the Back to School season. The event benefits the Community for Kids organization which funds arts and special programs at Dixon Elementary School. 50% of profits of any merchandise or equipment purchase or rental will be donated to the Community for Kids.
When: Sunday, August 18. Meet between 11:30 and 12:30 PM at the Pilar Yacht Club. A lunch special will be available to participants who would like to purchase a meal.
12:30 Participants travel upriver to Petaca campground to launch the float. Participants will help each other placing vehicles at the take our, Rio Bravo campground.
Float the river and have a blast!!
Between 2:30 and 3:30 Take out at Rio Bravo. Travel back to Pilar Yacht Club to enjoy $1 Sundaes!!!
*Every vehicle parked in the park will need to pay the $3 parking fee-self pay envelopes will be available at the campgrounds.
**Participants need to be advised that the BLM has been enforcing NM state law in requiring life jackets for all individuals floating the river. PYC has life jackets available for rental and resale for both adults and children.
